First event and sneak preview: "Heels to Hoodies," Cyclofemme 2017!

Our first event: Heels to Hoodies Cyclofemme 2017!

What are you doing on Mother's Day morning, besides making breakfast for mom? Looking to stretch your legs after stretching your stomach? Come ride your bikes with us! The "Heels to Hoodies" group ride gives people of all ages and abilities a chance to get out on your bike and ride with an easygoing group. The event is organized by an amazing community leader, Shelley Carr, as part of the global CycloFemme movement.

CycloFemme is a global movement of self-led bike rides around the world. Their aim is to unite riders, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity or bicycle preference. Any ride length, type, and size counts, whether two friends, a team or a parade. If you've never experienced the beautiful sound of a parade of bicycle bells chiming in harmony, you're in for a treat!

The group will meet at the Black Walnut Cafe in Wortley Village at 10:00. We'll go slow together for about five kilometers, mostly through quiet streets and off-street pathways. The destination is secret, and we'll have a chance to meet and chat with each other en route and at the end.

Please RSVP via Eventbrite or Facebook if you plan to ride with us! If you haven't RSVP'ed, and decide you want to come last minute, that's OK too. Jump on your bike and join us. We're looking forward to meeting a great group of people on bikes, and joining London with the global CycloFemme movement.

When: Sunday, May 14 @ 10:00.
What: An all ages and abilities group ride, part of the global CycloFemme movement.

Details about the Mother's Day ride, text: "Each year on Mother's Day (US) self-led bike rides around the globe unite riders, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, or bicycle preference. Cyclofemme is a celebration of women created to empower positive social change"
