We're Hiring: Service Technician

Start Date: March 2025

At London Bicycle Café, we believe that high-quality service is an essential part of the cycling experience. Our service department supports our community by prioritizing maintenance and repairs while ensuring our customers get the most out of their bikes. We recognize that mechanical skills can be a barrier to cycling as transportation, and we aim to break down those barriers by offering a full-service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and document customer service requests accurately in work orders.
  • Perform bike repairs in-store and through our mobile repair unit.
  • Assemble new, stock, and demo bikes to the required standard.
  • Ensure customer records are up to date and accurate.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized repair area.
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Support sales, retail, e-commerce, and rental operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of bicycle repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Lightspeed POS systems.
  • Familiarity with Google and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Advanced bicycle repair skills.
  • Previous bicycle retail or mechanic experience.
